About This Program

Certifies and provides contracting preferences for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) and Small Business (SB) firms on state-funded and federally-assisted transportation and construction contracts.

Key Requirements & Eligibility

• 1Business must be at least 51% owned by socially/economically disadvantaged individual(s)
• 2Owner's personal net worth must be under $1.32M (excluding primary residence/business)
• 3Business must be small per SBA standards for its primary NAICS code
• 4Certification valid for 3 years; annual affidavit required
• 5Once certified, eligible for contract set-asides and goals on public projects
